The 17-year-old Bailey from Texas went through a living nightmare and a medical health scare three years ago. One day, Bailey woke up without any feeling or sensation in her legs at all.
Imagine waking up in the morning and not feeling your legs at all – that’s exactly what occurred to Bailey.
No possible explanation was given and doctors told Bailey she became paralyzed out of nowhere. The young lady and her parents could never have seen it coming.
Bailey was completely paralyzed from the waist down for almost two weeks.
Bailey spent 11 days in the hospital and had bonded with the nurses and employees of the hospital. She befriended one nurse, in particular, and she could always count on her support and faith.
The nurse assured her that everything would be okay and always cared for her both physically and emotionally.
Doctors gave Bailey a 5% chance to regain sensitivity in her legs.
However, the teen defied all the odds and amazed her doctors. On the twelfth day, Bailey started walking again.
We can’t even begin to imagine the sense of relief this must’ve been for Bailey and her parents. It was almost certain that she would have to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair, but Bailey’s fighting spirit never gave up.
Knowing that her nurse would be so happy to hear the news, Bailey decided to create a surprise that will be remembered for a very long time.
“Our daughter, Bailey, had complete paralysis from the waist down for 11 days with no explanation as to why. This video is one of her favorite nurses coming onto her shift and not knowing that Bailey had started walking this day,” her mom Becky Miller posted.
Bailey went to visit her nurse still in her wheelchair and shocked everyone when she suddenly started walking.
Bailey’s favorite nurse can’t believe what she is witnessing. She is absolutely thrilled and goes nuts. “Thank you, Lord” she screams multiple times while giving the teen a very warm and big hug.
The woman had just started her daily shift and thought that Bailey was simply visiting.
“I’m so, so happy for you” she shouted during their emotional hug.
It’s absolutely amazing footage that you really have to see for yourself. It’s incredible to see this emotional moment between a nurse and a patient, and it’s clear that this nurse couldn’t be any happier for her.
The heartwarming video was filmed and shared by Bailey’s mother and it quickly went viral.
The video has been viewed more than 10 million times on YouTube.
