For most children, Christmas is a time of presents, but for one 7-year-old Jadyn, this Christmas is a little different than the others. He’d been paying attention to everything that had been happening during Hurricane Harvey, and he decided that the children that were affected by the storm deserved more than he did this year. So he took a piece of paper and pen and wrote a letter to Santa.
“I went over there to Papa’s office to grab pencil and paper, and I started writing,” said the young boy.
He then wrote:
“Dear Santa,
This year you can bring me whatever you want to because I want you to bring lots of toys to all the kids that lost their homes in Harvey storm. Thank you so much.”
“A lot of kids lost their home in Harvey, they don’t have a home,” he explained to the local news.
The rest of the family is hoping that his Christmas wish can come true.
“Hopefully Santa brings one or two (toys) for him, and the rest for the other kids,” his mother finally concluded to the news.
The beauty of a child’s mind shows us how stunning the world can truly be, and he’s a true inspiration for those afraid of the future generation’s morality and a reminder that in our everyday lives, people are truly great. You can watch the original news coverage here.
